Secure Messaging

Our subscription-based secure email uses proven strong cryptography to protect your email messages. You can encrypt your outgoing messages so that only the intended recipients can decrypt and read the message. You can also digitally sign your outgoing messages so that the recipients can be assured that you actually sent the message.

Protection policies:

• Expiration date - after which recipients cannot access protected content.

• Viewing - either unlimited (subject to expiration date) or once-only.

• Notifications - choose who will be notified when the content is first read and printed.

• Protect message body - email text will be protected as well as attachments.

• Encryption - Authentication and digital signatures to verify individual identify.

Encrypted communications channel (SSL)

This feature prevents your email from being read by your ISP and your corporate firewall admin person. You can communicate with any person at any email account, including those who do not use encrypted email at all, and enjoy protection by an encrypted communications channel. No special software is required!

Public Key Encryption (PKI)

This feature provides end-to-end security when you communicate with people who use the PKI secure email standard. You can digitally sign your messages, and encrypt the contents of the messages that can only be decrypted by the recipients. PKI is military grade encryption technology that is supported on all major computing platforms.

Registration

The registration is simple. EmedSafe lets you choose a UserID that will go before the @ symbol in the EmedSafe email address. The user supplies a password and has the option of providing an alternative email address. This is always wise in case you lose your password, but we recommend you create a "throwaway" account at another free email service specifically for this purpose. You will be asked to supply a secret question and answer. This is used to confirm who you are if you forget your password and want to get it back again.
