EmedSafe participants work in a double encrypted communication environment which requires users of EmedSafe to have both a "Secure Gateway License" that protects the information as it travels through the internet and a "Secure Messaging Subscription" that adds individual security to each document transmitted as well as control over access to the information. This unique "double encryption" combination of technology eliminates third party software purchase and installation and makes it possible to utilize EmedSafe in any hardware environment and is completely portable to multiple locations and computers.
